Key industry event marks first opportunity to show the company’s combined strength following recent merger with Tyco

MILWAUKEE – (June 2, 2017) – Johnson Controls, a global technology and multi-industrial leader, will highlight its fire protection products and solutions at the 2017 NFPA Conference & Expo in Boston from June 4 through June 7. This marks the first event where Johnson Controls will exhibit to the fire protection industry since merging with Tyco.

“NFPA is the perfect opportunity to show the industry – and most importantly, our customers – what Johnson Controls is capable of,” said Rod Rushing, president, Building Solutions, North America, Johnson Controls. “We’re on the leading edge of a new frontier in building technologies and solutions. At this year’s Expo we’ll put our strength on display through best-in-class products and solutions that are enabling this new frontier for fire protection across the globe.”

Visitors to booth #318 can learn how Johnson Controls now pairs its best-in-class HVAC, building controls and energy solutions with industry-leading fire protection and security capabilities.

The show comes on the heels of an announcement to customers about plans to transition the brand identity of Tyco businesses, including SimplexGrinnell and Tyco Fire Protection Products, to Johnson Controls. The SimplexGrinnell fire sprinkler installation and service business in the U.S. will become Grinnell Fire Protection Solutions. In its fire products business, Johnson Controls now designs, manufactures and sells the products you have come to know and respect under the Tyco brand, including ANSUL, Grinnell, Simplex, Tyco and many more.

These products will be on display at NFPA, together with building solutions and services that improve safety, reduce costs and create better outcomes for engineers, contractors, facility managers and building owners.

Featured Solutions:

·         AquaMist ULF, a complete fire protection solution including pumps, valves, discharge nozzles, pipes and fittings offers improved ventilation and continuous protection. The solution can reduce supply piping and water storage tanks, saving space in data centers that have limited floor and ceiling space.

·         Data Center Solutions, a full-range of clean agent solutions for data centers that both detect and suppress fires:

o   ANSUL® INERGEN® Clean Agent Fire Suppression System with iFLOW Technology, an effective fire suppressant designed for normally-occupied areas containing electronic equipment that requires no cleanup, contains no chemicals and is non-toxic.

o   AUTOPULSE Z-20, an addressable agent releasing control panel, integrates simply with approved fire suppression systems to provide the release of clean agents, carbon dioxide, dry chemical and foam.

o   The new Acoustic Nozzle is offered with INERGEN systems providing lower noise output for areas containing sensitive hard disk drives. Together, with the exclusive noise level calculator, the Acoustic Solution has won the Special Award for Data Center ICT Innovation of the Year at the DCS Awards 2017.

·         Electronic Sprinklers, a solution that helps address fire sprinklers as a limiting factor in building design and operations.

·         Simplex TrueAlert ES, the industry’s most advanced line of intelligent, fully addressable notification, features a highly flexible wiring architecture, revolutionary appliance self-testing, and targeted emergency messaging.

o   Simplex TrueAlert ES addressable speakers have recently achieved industry recognition for innovation and value. The technology was selected as a 2017 Money-Saving Product winner by BUILDINGS Magazine for its ability to improve facility operations and lower costs for managers and building owners.
